Netflix and Supercell have announced a new animated series based on the Clash Universe, bringing the popular mobile games Clash of Clans and Clash Royale to the streaming platform. The series is currently in pre-production and aims to expand the game’s world beyond mobile screens.

What We Know So Far
The upcoming series will focus on a determined but overwhelmed barbarian who assembles a group of misfit characters to defend their village while navigating the absurd politics of war. Fletcher Moules, known for directing official Clash of Clans shorts, is on board as the showrunner, with Ron Weiner, a writer from 30 Rock and Silicon Valley, joining the creative team.
The animation will be handled by ICON Creative Studio, which has previously worked on Young Jedi Adventures.
A Strategic Move into Entertainment
This series marks a significant step for Supercell in expanding its intellectual properties into other media. The company has been actively seeking talent for film and TV projects, including a Senior Film and TV Development Executive, indicating a long-term vision for storytelling beyond games.
Curtis Lelash, former Netflix and Cartoon Network executive, has joined Supercell as the head of film and TV, further solidifying the company’s commitment to this new direction.
