Netflix Reportedly Making A Crash Bandicoot Animated Series

It looks like everyone’s favorite orange marsupial will soon be on television. According to reports, Netflix is currently working on an animated series based on Crash Bandicoot, with production being led by the animation studio WildBrain, which is best known for Sonic Prime. Although Activision Blizzard and Netflix have not yet released an official statement, fans are already getting excited.

What We Currently Know

Early reports indicate that the upcoming program will be the first Crash Bandicoot-focused animated series. Despite making fleeting appearances in Skylanders Academy, this is the character’s first on-screen lead. Although the plot, cast, and release date have not yet been disclosed, fans can anticipate excellent animation and action-packed scenes based on WildBrain’s history.

After All These Years

Despite being one of the most recognizable mascots in video games since the 1990s, Crash Bandicoot has never had a full-length show of his own. The story follows a pattern of popular video game properties getting animated adaptations, such as Castlevania and Sonic Prime, both of which have achieved enormous success on Netflix.

So What’s Next?

The show might premiere in 2026, right before Crash’s 30th anniversary, if production is already under way. The series could usher in a significant new era for the beloved PlayStation hero, and fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation and an early look at it.
