Perfect World Games and developer Hotta Studio have officially announced the dates for the first closed “Co-Ex Test” of their upcoming urban open-world action RPG, Neverness to Everness (NTE). The test is scheduled to take place from February 6 to February 20, 2026. This period will allow a selected group of players to explore the supernatural city of Hethereau and provide critical feedback on gameplay mechanics, performance, and narrative flow. As a free-to-play title, the game has already generated significant interest for its unique blend of daily life simulation, high-speed driving, and supernatural combat.
Participation and Content Details
Prospective testers have until January 23 to sign up via the game’s official website. The Co-Ex Test will be accessible across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. In an effort to reach a global audience, the test supports several text languages, including English, Japanese, French, and Spanish, with voice-over options in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Content-wise, the test will feature a substantial portion of the early game, covering the main storyline up to the episode titled “Deal? Deal!” This will give players a strong look at the game’s core loop of investigating urban anomalies and managing their daily supernatural life.

New Visuals and Global Hype
To accompany the announcement, a new trailer titled “Bird’s Eye View of Hethereau” was released, showcasing the city’s verticality and vibrant, neon-lit atmosphere. The footage highlights the seamless transition between indoor and outdoor environments, as well as the diverse range of vehicles players can use to navigate the streets. Hotta Studio, previously known for Tower of Fantasy, is leveraging Unreal Engine 5 to deliver high-end graphics and physics for NTE. While a final global release date has not yet been set, the commencement of the Co-Ex Test marks a major step toward bringing this highly anticipated project to market.
