Neverness to Everness Will Not Have 50/50 Gacha—Guaranteed Featured S‑Class

Neverness to Everness (NTE) has confirmed a major shift: its Scarborough Fair character board removes the dreaded 50/50 mechanic. Instead, any S‑Class unit pulled from a limited board is always the featured character, ending those coin-flip disappointments. That’s a smart change—and a relief for dedicated players!

How Scarborough Fair Works

The system replaces traditional gacha rolls with a dice-and-board setup. Each roll advances your Chuppa along spaces, each space delivering a prize—up to coveted characters. There are two board types: Standard and Limited. After 70 rolls without an S‑Class, the board adds ten times more S‑Class spaces. Plus, there’s a 90‑roll hard pity guarantee. That gives a generous 1.88% base chance—higher than many rival games.

What This Means for Players

This is great news if you aim for a specific hero. You can drop rolls confidently, knowing you’ll get the featured S‑Class eventually. No more fear of pulling the wrong character at final pity. It makes planning and resource management far easier—especially when saving for banners with your favourite characters!

Upgrades Beyond Gacha

And it’s not just characters—Hotta Studio says no weapon banner either. Most S‑ and A‑Class weapon “Arcs” are earnable via gameplay or special currency, not locked behind pulls. That means strong equipment is accessible without spending, reducing gacha fatigue

The Catch? Watch the Eco

Some players caution there may be hidden trade-offs. Pull rates, resource release, and character power scaling might be tuned to offset the no‑50/50 system. Reddit users are already speculating:

“the same thing happened with Wuwa… guaranteed doesn’t matter since all of the 4 star… are dogshit”

Still, the base rates and pity system look solid—and vastly more transparent than many current gachas.
