Resident Evil: Requiem New Leaks Hints That Leon S. Kennedy is Indeed in The Game and Playable

A recent leak from the Portuguese PlayStation Store says that Resident Evil: Requiem might have a second playable character besides Grace Ashcroft, who has already been revealed. There was a bonus item called “Leon’s Outfit: DSO Special Agent” in the Deluxe Edition listing. This suggests that Leon S. Kennedy, a fan favorite character, may be playable in the next game.

What was displayed in the listing

Five more character outfits, including one associated with Leon, were listed in the Deluxe Edition listing. His appearance in Resident Evil 6 is mirrored in the outfit title, which strongly suggests his return. The community is in a frenzy because his name was on the store page before any formal announcement was made.

The story and structure of the game would drastically change if Leon were to be confirmed as a playable character. Since dual protagonists have been a common feature of previous games, fans now conjecture that Leon might co-lead with Grace or play a significant supporting role. How Capcom intends to strike a balance between new and legacy characters in the narrative is further called into question by the leak.

Take it With A Grain of Salt

Although the listing implies Leon’s inclusion, Capcom has not yet provided an official confirmation. Before going live, store listings are subject to modification. Consider this a strong rumor rather than a feature that is assured until the publisher confirms the information.
