Rip Current: Dinosaur Horror Title Launches Now on PC

The first-person dinosaur horror game Rip Current is now available on Steam for PC, as confirmed by developers Breaking Dimensions in collaboration with Polygon Dust. Priced at $8.99 USD, the game drops players into a flooded, ruined aquatic research station overrun by deadly prehistoric predators.

Descent into Post Salvos

In Rip Current, you play as Carter, a special operations contractor sent to investigate the sudden radio silence from Post Salvos, an underwater research facility. Upon arrival, you find the station in ruins, flooded, and overrun by engineered beasts—most notably, a ruthless spinosaurus.

Gameplay revolves around navigating tight corridors, flooded labs, and shadowy environments while avoiding or confronting ancient predators. Players must choose whether to sneak, run, or fight as they piece together what went wrong and uncover the dark secrets behind the experiment.

Horror Meets Environmental Storytelling

The game emphasizes environmental storytelling and atmospheric tension. The oppressive underwater setting, crumbling facility, and predator ambushes all contribute to a feeling of isolation and dread. The high-stakes narrative is tightly interwoven with the survival horror mechanics.
