The popular Manhwa series, Solo Leveling may have ended but it’s pretty alive and well in other mediums as Netmarble officially announces that the series will be getting a video game adaptation that is set to launch for PC and mobile devices.
Not much information has been revealed about Solo Leveling but we do know a few tidbits about it. For one thing, the game will be a single-player RPG. Players can increase their strength by amassing their Shadow Army or by recruiting powerful hunters in their guild. Solo Leveling will also closely follow Manhwa’s plot with Netmarble promising some terrific cinematic cutscenes and over-the-top skill animations to aesthetically please any gamer and fans of the series. You can check out the official teaser trailer below:
As seen in the trailer, you’ll be fighting against a variety of enemies with Jinwoo Sung as your main character. You can also call forth fan-favorite characters to assist you in battle like Cha Hae-in. The gameplay seems to be hack & slash consisting of a variety of different skills and combos.
Solo Leveling is currently in development. Netmarble hasn’t revealed any release date for it yet but we can guess that it will release by the end of 2022 or early 2023 if everything goes well in the development phase (which usually doesn’t).
Solo Leveling is one of many games revealed during Netmarble’s fifth press event in South Korea, among the popular titles revealed also include the highly anticipated Project RF Online, Seven Deadly Sins Origin, and a brand new entry in their long-running Raven franchise, Raven Arang.
