Sony and Bad Robot Games Team Up for Co-op Shooter 4:LOOP

Sony Interactive Entertainment just dropped a surprising new game announcement! They are partnering with Bad Robot Games to publish 4:LOOP. This new game is a cooperative third-person shooter. It is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC. We do not have a release date yet, but wishlisting is already live!

Mike Booth Leads New Co-op Experience

4:LOOP is being developed by Bad Robot Games. The project is being led by industry veteran Mike Booth. He and the storytellers at the studio crafted this tactical, four-player co-op shooter. The game is designed to have endless replayability. It offers infinite ways for players to build the ultimate team of heroes.

Failure is the Key to Victory

The developers shared a cryptic overview about the game’s core theme. The tagline for 4:LOOP is “Fail. To save the world.” The concept is that players must learn from their mistakes. The studio says that if you can do that, you might “just fail to save the world.” This sounds like a shooter with a unique, self-aware narrative twist. It might have a time-loop mechanic or a huge emphasis on constant failure and improvement. This new co-op shooter promises to be a very compelling addition to the PS5 and PC lineup!
