Sony to Publish Co-Op Shooter from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Games

Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced that it will be the publisher for a new, unannounced cooperative shooter game. This title is currently in development at J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Games studio and is set to launch on both PlayStation 5 and PC sometime in the future.

Key Details of the Project

The unannounced game is being designed as a four-player cooperative shooter. The project has strong leadership, as it is being directed by industry veteran Mike Booth. Booth is widely recognized in the gaming world as the creator and designer of the classic co-op zombie franchise Left 4 Dead.

Bad Robot Games and the Partnership

Bad Robot Games is the dedicated video game division of J.J. Abrams’ production company, Bad Robot, known for major film franchises like Mission: Impossible and Star Trek. Christian Svensson, Vice President and Head of SIE 2P/3P Content Ventures, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. He noted that Bad Robot Games’ unique creative voice and passion for interactive entertainment align perfectly with Sony’s mission to create experiences that deeply resonate with players.
