While the specific title Spyro 4 was not used, and the mention has since been removed from the profile, the timing has sparked intense speculation among fans. Toys For Bob, now an independent studio, is currently collaborating with Microsoft on a new unannounced title, and many believe this project is the long-awaited fourth installment in the original series.

Toys For Bob’s History with the Franchise

Toys For Bob has a significant history with the Spyro IP, having developed the successful Spyro Reignited Trilogy in 2018. The studio also has deep experience with the character through the Skylanders franchise, which featured Spyro as a lead protagonist. Given their critical success with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, fans have long hoped the studio would give Spyro the same “numbered sequel” treatment.
