Supercell’s Squad Busters is Shutting Down

The final content update for Squad Busters is slated for December 2025, and Supercell has formally announced that the game will no longer receive active development. Although there won’t be any more significant updates for some time, players will still be able to download and play the game. It is anticipated that the servers will shut down in 2026.

Although Squad Busters had a successful worldwide launch in May 2024, the developer revealed that it ultimately fell short of Supercell’s long-term goals for a live-service game. The studio made the decision to end development early and concentrate on new projects rather than keep releasing updates.

All in-game purchases have been disabled as of October 30, 2025. The ability to transfer the value of purchases made in 2025 to other Supercell games will be available to players, though.

Although this final update signifies the end of the game’s journey, players can still launch Squad Busters and enjoy what’s left of it for the time being.
