Following the closure of Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol, which lasted only 1 year and 7 months, there’s hope for fans of the MMORPG. The game, which was expected to revitalize the genre, instead resulted in significant financial losses for Bandai Namco. However, a new version is reportedly in development, funded in part by Tencent.
The new Blue Protocol is being developed by Shanghai Bokura Network Technology for both PC and mobile devices. While official details remain scarce, several closed beta tests have been conducted, with the latest one recently concluded.
Players shared that the game retains many features from the Japanese version, though notable updates include faster-paced combat, enhanced customization, and improved visuals similar to popular games like Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact.
