The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin Open-World RPG to Feature 30 km² Map

Netmarble’s upcoming open-world RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is preparing to surprise players with a massive 30 square kilometer map, marking the first time the franchise embraces a fully open world. The game is scheduled to launch on January 28, 2026.

A Vast Britannia to Explore

In Origin, players will journey across a beautifully rendered world of Britannia, where the stakes are higher than ever. The massive map promises freedom, immersion, and exploration—as you move from lush forests to ruined keeps, hidden paths, and dangerous landscapes.

This open-world shift is a major change for the series, which traditionally used more linear or segmented maps. Now, every corner of the kingdom could hold secrets, side quests, or hidden challenges waiting to be discovered.

Storytelling with Respect to Canon

Netmarble assures fans that despite the redesigned format and expanded world, Origin remains faithful to the manga and anime’s lore. The original creator, Nakaba Suzuki, is collaborating with the development team, contributing to character design, story decisions, and authenticity in lore adaptation.

While the game offers new narrative threads, it is designed to balance innovation with respect for the established Seven Deadly Sins universe—appealing to longtime fans and newcomers alike.
