Onibi Studio, a new developer composed of industry veterans from major hits like Baldur’s Gate 3 and League of Legends, has announced its debut project, Tomo: Endless Blue. This title is an anime-inspired, open-world action RPG set in a procedurally generated oceanic realm known as the Endless Blue. The game effectively merges the creature-collecting charm of Pokémon with the creative freedom of Minecraft. Players explore a vast archipelago where fragments of fallen civilizations form unique islands, each hosting its own vibrant culture and secrets. The game is currently scheduled for a 2026 release on PC via Steam.

Taming Tomos and Building Machines

The core gameplay revolves around discovering and taming mysterious creatures called Tomo. These companions assist players in combat and exploration as they navigate the dangerous waters and ruins of the Endless Blue. What sets this title apart from other monster-tamers is its robust voxel-based physics system. Blocks in the world have physical properties, allowing players to build complex vehicles and contraptions.
