Akatsuki Games Inc. has announced that the 3D action RPG, TRIBE NINE, will cease operations on November 27, 2025. Launched globally on February 20, 2025, the game will conclude its service in just over nine months.
Set in a dystopian Neo Tokyo, TRIBE NINE offered players a unique blend of anime-style visuals, three-person team battles, and the distinctive “Extreme Baseball” (XB) mode. Despite surpassing 10 million downloads worldwide shortly after release, the game struggled to maintain its momentum. The developers cited the decision to shut down as a result of careful consideration, acknowledging their efforts to provide a quality gaming experience.

Immediate Changes and Refunds
Following the shutdown announcement, sales of paid items, including Enigma Entities and Daily Passes, have been discontinued. Players can still utilize any remaining Enigma Entities until the game’s closure.
For those who purchased Paid Enigma Entities to unlock Armed Support and Advanced Support or bought Contract Levels for Support Contract – Revenio, refunds will be issued after the current banner concludes. Players are advised to monitor official channels for detailed refund procedures and timelines.

Community Reactions and Speculations
The gaming community has expressed disappointment over the abrupt end of TRIBE NINE. Many players appreciated the game’s potential and unique mechanics. However, discussions have emerged suggesting that the game’s gacha system may have impacted its longevity. Some believe that a different monetization approach could have altered the game’s trajectory.
