Ubisoft Cancels Tokyo Game Show 2024 Presentation At The Last Minute

Ubisoft has confirmed it will no longer host its planned online presentation for the Tokyo Game Show 2024. Initially set for September 26, the event was meant to showcase upcoming game releases. However, the company cited “various circumstances” for the abrupt cancellation, offering no further explanation.

While Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown saw positive reviews, titles like Skull and Bones and Star Wars Outlaws have struggled to meet commercial expectations. Speculation about the reason for Ubisoft’s decision includes concerns over the controversy surrounding Assassin’s Creed Shadows, criticized by some Japanese players for historical inaccuracies, but no official reason has been given.
