In a recent announcement, the Wuthering Waves development team at Kuro Games acknowledged various issues players have encountered since the game’s launch and detailed their plans to address these concerns. The team expressed gratitude for the community’s feedback, which has guided their adjustments. This is a short breakdown of the announcement but if you want the full details, you can check it out through THIS LINK.

Echo Development Experience
A major focus of the announcement was the Echo development system, which many players found excessively grindy. The team is rolling out a limited-time event, “Chord Cleansing,” to double Echo material yields and plans to reduce Shell Credit costs and increase material yields in version 1.1. They also promised the introduction of a Waveplates storage system in future updates.
An error in the Echo recycling system, which led to incorrect Shell Credit amounts, was quickly rectified with an emergency update. Players affected by this bug will receive compensation, including Shell Credit and Crystal Solvents.
Weapon Description Errors
The team addressed a mistranslation issue concerning the 5-Star Weapon “Verdant Summit.” Corrections have been made, and a thorough review of localized game texts is underway. All players will receive Forging Tides as compensation.

Event Feedback and Future Updates
Responding to player feedback on event durations and rewards, the developers are redesigning upcoming events. The new “Wuthering Exploration” event will offer enhanced rewards, and more detailed updates are expected soon.
Looking ahead, the team is advancing the release of new content in version 1.0, including the Companion Story “Solitary Path” and several other events, starting June 6, 2024. Version 1.1, “Thaw of Eons,” will follow with new areas, characters, and challenges.
Combat and Control Optimization
Improvements to combat and controls are in the works. Autoaiming and camera performance issues are being addressed, and new features like a “Disengagement Warning” and expanded custom keybinding options will enhance gameplay. The team is also optimizing controller mode and addressing “ghost touch” issues on mobile.

Additional Updates
Other updates include weekly purchase limits for certain store items, fixes for audio bugs, and ongoing performance optimizations to address crashes and instability. Enhancements to the “Depths of Illusive Realm” event are also planned, adding new characters and challenges.
Commitment to Improvement
Kuro Games has pledged to continue refining Wuthering Waves based on player feedback, with regular updates and open communication. They acknowledged the launch’s shortcomings but remain committed to delivering a high-quality gaming experience.
