Konami has recently announced that it will reveal some of its latest news and updates on one of the most iconic survival horror game franchises of our time, “Silent Hill.” This new information will be revealed during the “Silent Hill Transmission” live stream that will happen this month.
The “Silent Hill Transmission” live stream will air on October 19 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET and can be watched through Konami’s official Silent Hill portal website. The announcement was also tweeted by the official Silent Hill Twitter account with the iconic phrase “In your restless dreams, do you see that town?” along with the schedule for the live stream. The post was also retweeted by “Silent Hill” monster designer, Masahiro Ito, which has recently sparked rumors that he might be involved seemingly confirming the existence of more “Silent Hill” games coming. You can check the tweet down below.
Additionally, there was also a leaked game title in South Korea called “Silent Hill: The Short Message” that was recently rated that got people thinking that the franchise might be getting a reboot. Top this off with “Silent Hill” movie director, Christophe Gans letting it slip that Konami is working on “multiple” game projects, it’s almost all but confirmed.
All we can do now is wait for the official live stream. If it is indeed a revival, it won’t be that much of a surprise as it has been the recent trend right now. And looking at how much success the “Resident Evil” franchise got with rebooting 2 and 3, we can’t blame Konami for trying to do the same. We just hope they will do their fans right and give “Silent Hill” the revival it deserves. And no more pachinko machines.
