A recent data mine of the popular cross-platform RPG, “Genshin Impact” has revealed some exciting news for fans as new and fan-favorite characters have been found scheduled for release in future specific version updates of the game. Before we continue, please be reminded that the following information can and probably will change as they are not yet set in stone. Still, at least we now have an idea and can plan ahead.
The upcoming characters on the list are supposed to be making their debut in version 3.3 up to version 3.6 of the Sumeru update. Fan-favorite characters are included as well as old and new ones alike. Check out the list down below:
Version 3.3
- Scaramouche – One of the Fatui Harbingers and the discarded puppet of the current Electro Archon, Raiden Shogun, who dubbed him as a “failure.” Scaramouche is currently a pivotal antagonist in the game. It is rumored that he will be a catalyst user, will have the element of Anemo, and will have a character design change. He will also have an alternate name being dubbed “Wanderer.” All of these are possible hints of what will happen to him in the future. Sounds like he’ll pull off a Kenshin Himura and become someone good with a dark past. Will he find redemption after the Sumeru Archon Quest?
- Faruzan – Faruzan is rumored to be a 4-star bow user with a loli body same as Klee, Diona, and Sayu. She’ll also be wielding the power of Anemo and will have a kit that was supposed to be designed to be a support for Scaramouche. She’s been mentioned a couple of times by NPC characters in Sumeru.

Version 3.4
- Yaoyao – Yaoyao has been revealed way back when everyone was still running around Liyue but was never revealed in-game, only in official artworks. She’ll be wielding the power of Dendro and will use catalysts. Judging from her design, she kinda looks like a herb gatherer but is more likely to be closer to Xiangling as they both canonically train martial arts under the same master.

Version 3.5
- Dehya – Ever since Dehya made her debut during the Sumeru update, everyone just wanted to have her. She’s a feisty female character that wields the power of Pyro and is proficient in using Claymores. She’s basically the female version of Diluc. Previously leaks suggested that she’ll be a 4-Star character but leakers now say she’ll be a 5-star. As for her kit and playstyle, we’ll just have to wait for more leaks and official updates.

Version 3.6
- Baizhu – Practically the oldest known playable Dendro character, Baizhu has been long awaited by players having met him all the way back in version 1.0. He’s the doctor that runs the Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue and the caretaker of Qiqi. Baizhu has been long known to be a catalyst user and will wield the Dendro element but his kit still remains a mystery.

Version 3.6 and beyond
- Alhaitham – He’s been dubbed the “Dendro Daddy” by fans and has been steadily getting fans. He’s been heavily compared to the “Geo Daddy” Zhongli who is the current Geo Archon. Funnily enough, his previous leaks suggest that he has ties with Zhongli for some undisclosed reason yet to be revealed in the game. Alhaitham will be a 5-star sword wielder with the power of Dendro.
- Mika – Mika has been introduced during the Ballads And Brews event in Mondstadt. A messenger for the Knights Of Favonius, people thought he will be a catalyst user but the data mine suggests that he’ll be using polearms and will have the power of Cryo.
- Kaveh – According to the leaks, Kaveh is Alhaitham’s roommate in the academy and is currently broke and in debt for some unknown reason. He’s responsible for designing some of the buildings found in the forest area of Sumeru notably the Palace of Alcazarzaray.

All this current information came from leaks and data miners such as Uncle Lu, Ubatcha, and Waternaeng. Please be reminded that all this information can still change and has a high possibility of doing so. More information will be revealed in the future. For now, this can serve as a guide for players who are saving up for the characters mentioned above as Primogem farming is a “serious” endeavor in “Genshin Impact.”
