“Gundam Evolution” Is Shutting Down On November 2023

“Gundam Evolution,” the free-to-play 6v6 shooter, is shutting down on November 29, 2023, after just one year. Launched on PC in September 2022 and on consoles in November of the same year, it aimed to unite FPS enthusiasts and Gundam fans worldwide.

The decision to close the game was a difficult one for the developers, who had worked passionately to create an authentic Gundam FPS experience. Executive producer Kazuya Maruyama expressed deep sadness about the closure, stating it was no longer possible to satisfy the players.

“We wanted to create a title that brought FPS fans and Gundam fans together,” Maruyama said, sharing the team’s original vision. “We challenged ourselves to create an authentic Gundam FPS game that could be played globally. Unfortunately, we have determined that it is no longer possible for us to provide a service that satisfies our players.”

Season 6 will arrive on August 23, and the final season is scheduled for October 25, providing memorable experiences until the game’s farewell. The sale of Evo Coins, the premium currency, will end on July 26. Players can use any remaining coins and items until Gundam Evolution goes offline in November, but there won’t be refunds for previous purchases.
