Palworld Developer Teams Up with KLab for Hybrid Mobile Game

KLab, creators of Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team and Bleach: Brave Souls, and Pocket Pair, the developers of Palworld, announce that they have partnered to create a hybrid-casual mobile game.

If you’re not familiar with the term, “hybrid-casual” refers to a game that combines the simplicity of casual games with online gaming elements, allowing for extended player engagement and revenue generation through in-game purchases and advertisements.

The hybrid-casual game market has seen significant growth since 2020, with an estimated market size of $2.1 billion by 2023. Supercell has also jumped into this scene with their latest IP, the mobile MMORPG, MoCo.

KLab, known for global mobile online games and advertising revenue models, is set to enter the hybrid-casual game market through this collaboration with Pocket Pair. The joint development, initiated in 2020, has undergone extensive testing and improvement, culminating in a project ready for release.

Pocket Pair’s success in Japan’s indie game scene, consistently ranking high on the Global Selling Steam Games list, underscores its ability to deliver engaging gaming experiences globally especially now with the massive success of Palworld.

Anticipations are high for the release of KLab and Pocket Pair’s joint venture, expecting a game that will be something gamers will be looking forward to. Stay tuned for updates on this groundbreaking addition to the world of mobile gaming.
