Valve has officially announced its latest game, Deadlock, putting an end to the months of speculation that had been swirling within the gaming community. While rumors had circulated for some time, Valve kept the project under wraps until now. In addition, Valve has also opened a community discussion forum, allowing fans to engage directly with the developers and each other as the game progresses through its development stages.

Deadlock is described as a team-based MOBA-shooter hybrid, a genre that combines the strategic elements of Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas (MOBA) with the fast-paced action of a first-person shooter.
