Tencent’s TiMi Studios Is Collaborating With Capcom To Make A Monster Hunter Mobile Game

Tencent’s TiMi Studios, known for their work on PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile, is reportedly collaborating with Capcom to develop a Monster Hunter mobile game. The project is tentatively named “Monster Hunter Outlanders.” While few details have emerged, the game is expected to be a fresh addition to Capcom’s series of mobile titles, which have ranged from direct ports of older Monster Hunter games to spin-offs like the recent Match-3 game, Monster Hunter Puzzles.

Monster Hunter fans have long awaited a true mobile experience that mirrors the mainline games, where players can hunt monsters, gather materials, and craft gear either solo or with friends. Previous attempts at bringing the Monster Hunter formula to mobile, such as NetEase’s Errant: Hunter Soul, offered similar gameplay but failed to gain traction due to insufficient promotion. However, the success of titles like Monster Hunter NOW by Niantic shows there is a growing market for such experiences.

With the game still in early development, there is limited information about its gameplay or release timeline. Whether Monster Hunter Outlanders will finally deliver the true Monster Hunter mobile experience fans crave remains to be seen. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
