Secret Door, a development studio under Dreamhaven, has announced its debut title, Sunderfolk, a four-player cooperative tactical turn-based RPG. Set to release in 2025, Sunderfolk aims to streamline the traditional tabletop gaming experience while maintaining core RPG mechanics.

Game Features and Accessibility
Sunderfolk offers six distinct heroes, each with unique abilities, and utilizes deck-building mechanics. Players will control the action via mobile devices on a top-down map, making it accessible without the need for physical setup or rulebooks. This approach removes common barriers to traditional tabletop games, allowing for an easier, yet still strategic, gaming experience.

Inspiration Behind the Game
Chris Sigaty, Secret Door’s studio head and a former Blizzard producer known for his work on StarCraft II and Warcraft III, emphasized the team’s passion for tabletop gaming. “Many of us are longtime fans of board games and tabletop RPGs. With Sunderfolk, we wanted to offer a game that anyone can pick up and enjoy without the hassle of setup, but with enough depth to challenge experienced players,” Sigaty explained.

Dreamhaven’s Vision
Dreamhaven, founded in 2020 by former Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime, oversees Secret Door and Moonshot studios. Morhaime expressed his enthusiasm for Sunderfolk in the official release: “It’s a game that brings people together to strategize and celebrate victories, creating unique moments of collaboration.”
Sunderfolk is expected to resonate with both casual and dedicated tabletop RPG enthusiasts as it bridges the gap between traditional and digital gaming.
