SILENT HILL f Coming Soon to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC

Konami Digital Entertainment BV and Maximum Entertainment France have announced the upcoming physical editions of SILENT HILL f for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with a digital version for PC. This marks the first main-series entry in over a decade, reigniting the iconic franchise’s legacy.

A Haunting Journey into 1960s Japan

SILENT HILL f transports players to 1960s Japan, a departure from the series’ traditional American settings. The narrative centers on Shimizu Hinako, a teenager from the secluded mountain village of Ebisugaoka. Her ordinary life is upended when a dense fog envelops her town, transforming it into a nightmarish landscape. Players will guide Hinako through eerie environments, confronting haunting creatures and unraveling dark secrets to survive.

Crafting the Horror Experience

The game’s storyline is penned by renowned writer Ryukishi07, celebrated for his work on Higurashi When They Cry and Umineko When They Cry. His expertise in psychological horror ensures a deeply immersive experience that delves into human nature and societal expectations. Visually, the game benefits from the artistry of Kera, an acclaimed illustrator and monster designer, who brings a fresh yet faithful aesthetic to the series. Complementing the visuals, the atmospheric soundtrack is composed by series veteran Akira Yamaoka, alongside Kensuke Inage, promising an unsettling and memorable auditory journey.

Physical Editions and Availability

While an exact release date has yet to be announced, SILENT HILL f is slated for release in 2025. Pre-orders for the physical editions on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are now open at major retailers, including Best Buy, GameStop, and Amazon, with a placeholder release date of December 31. Players can also add the game to their wishlists on digital platforms such as Steam.

As the first main-series entry since Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012, fans are excited about Silent Hill f especially that the setting is now set in 1960s Japan. Combined with its unnerving and horrific trailer, fans of the horror game genre has something to look forward to!
