Tower Five, the studio behind Empire of the Ants, has officially announced Loaders — a free-to-play 10-versus-10 tactical shooter launching on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. While a release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, Loaders is already turning heads with its intense blend of strategy, destruction, and high-stakes teamplay.

This isn’t your typical run-and-gun FPS. It’s a game where your survival depends on anticipation, positioning, and calculated aggression.

Built for Tactics, Not Twitch

Set in the year 2525, Loaders drops players into a grim sci-fi future where war is waged for control of “Gold”—the only energy source that powers interstellar travel. Players take on the role of Loaders, human consciousnesses uploaded into antigrav tanks, deployed in proxy wars for powerful orbiting factions.

Expect tight, tactical matches where 20 players face off in destructible environments. Everything on the battlefield can change: break down walls, level cover, and reshape the terrain in real time to gain an edge or turn the tide.

Each match revolves around a core objective: destroy the enemy’s pylon—a device masking them from orbital strikes—while defending your own. If your pylon goes down, it’s game over.

Choose Your Tank, Master the Meta

Loaders offers deep customization with five distinct classes, each featuring unique movement and shielding mechanics. You’ll have access to a robust loadout system, equipping up to 4 active abilities, 5 passive modules, and a splitter system for nuanced build variety.

Combat relies on regenerating directional shields—your tank’s angles matter. Head-on shootouts are risky. Instead, tactical flanking and precision targeting will decide the outcome of every fight.
