Minecraft is getting spooky just in time for Halloween. The eerie world of Poppy Playtime is brought into Mojang’s blocky sandbox with the new Huggy & Friends add-on, which was developed in partnership with Spark Universe and Mob Entertainment.
Huggy Wuggy Arrives in Minecraft
The most recognizable monsters from Poppy Playtime, such as Mommy Long Legs, Doey, CatNap, Huggy Wuggy, and The Doctor, are introduced in this add-on. Every creature has a distinct behavior; some ambush gullible adventurers, while others stalk players through dim hallways.
The GrabPack, which is now a useful item in Minecraft, will also be familiar to fans of Poppy Playtime. Similar to the horror series, it enables players to engage with the environment in novel ways.
The Smiling Critters appear as allies who can aid in battle or bestow beneficial buffs, adding a more amiable twist. It’s an odd but entertaining blend of cooperation and fear.
Now accessible on the Minecraft Marketplace
On October 14, 2025, the Huggy & Friends add-on made its official appearance on the Minecraft Marketplace. It costs 990 Minecoins, or about $5.99. For the spooky season, the crossover provides the ideal balance of playful chaos and spooky atmosphere.
