The developer behind the horror hit Poppy Playtime, Mob Entertainment, has officially confirmed that Chapter 5 is coming. This is the series’ next big release and teases significant plot and gameplay developments.

Players will delve deeper into the Playtime Co. factory, visit the labs, and ultimately face the puppetmaster responsible for the gory events, according to the trailer and some terrifying teasers released by the studio. Although Mob has not stated whether this will be the last chapter, the tone and imagery point to a significant shift in the franchise.

The series’ custom of releasing chapters at the end of January is probably going to continue with chapter 5, as the previous two chapters were published on January 30 in 2024 and 2025. Although Mob hasn’t yet provided a specific date, many fans and outlets anticipate a similar window this time.

Red industrial backgrounds, masked hands, and shadows hanging over factory equipment are all depicted in the teaser photos, suggesting a more sinister and intense experience. The creator claimed that in order to create a game that “will stay with fans long after they’ve finished playing,” they went above and beyond with every aspect, from environments and graphics to scare mechanisms.

The game is already available for wishlists prior to release, and platforms will include PC (Steam) and probably others to follow.
