Rust Mobile Postpones Closed Beta Test To December

Rust Mobile’s Closed Beta Test has been delayed and is now scheduled in December 2025, for Android and iOS devices. A few regions, including North America, Europe, and Asia, will have access to the test.

What’s the Closed Beta Test For?

The purpose of this data-wiped test is to collect feedback and observe how the mobile version performs at scale. With resources, bases, wildlife, and other players, the game replicates the open-world survival experience and is officially licensed by its original creators.

Access will be granted to a restricted number of players, and selection is based on application. Those selected will receive download instructions ahead of the start date.

Why You Should Try For CBT

For Rust enthusiasts, this is the first significant mobile release of the survival sandbox. The developer has an opportunity to refine the controls, performance, and interface for phones and tablets in the December beta. A successful test could introduce a formidable competitor to the broader mobile survival genre.

The fact that the test is worldwide (albeit region-limited) indicates that a full launch is imminent; the success of this beta could have an impact on the specifics of the rollout, the monetization plan, and whether cross-play is added. Keep an eye out.
