M7Bound: Team Liquid x Aurora Gaming PH Send-Off Celebration

The M7 World Championship AKA M7 is the 7th edition of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship. Having started this January 3 2026, over 22 teams from across the globe compete to determine which team reigns supreme over in Jakarta Indonesia for a prize pool for glory and prize pool with over 1 Million Dollars.

Filipino teams Aurora Gaming PH and Team Liquid took the stage with a send-off celebration in Pop Up Katipunan last January 3 together with their peers, superfans, family and media partners. A short program was also held to celebrate the gathering as well as unveil the M7 Mural made specifically for the Philippines.

The Story So Far

Normally M7 would’ve happened sooner but due to scheduling conflicts with the 2025 SEA Games and MLBB being a medal event, the tournament was postponed slightly. This event also sees Japan returning to the tournament scene following their previous campaign last M2. For the third consecutive year as well, the reigning champion, could not defend their title due to being eliminated last MPL Philippines Season 16.

It’s anybody’s ball game with a fresh champion waiting to be crowned and with how dominant the Philippines had been since M2, the pressure is on for both teams. Team Liquid is currently on its golden road with M7 being the final feather in their cap for the season while Aurora Gaming PH is on their road to redemption proving that they’re champions in their own right.

M7 Mural Unveiling

The send off event also featured the reveal of the M7 mural for the first time by artist Melvin Rodas. Having worked in various campaigns with brands such as Nike and the NBA this piece is a first for him with e-sports.

The mural was completed in the span of 3 weeks. It features the players of Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming PH as well as the heroes Granger and Edith encapsulated in a Filipino color palette and the phrase Lakas ng Pinas sa M7. The primary themes of the mural include the unity, resilience and pride of the Filipino nation together with how both teams would keep charging forward through it all. It also stands as a testament to how much Filipinos believe in their players and e-sports as a whole.

Filipino vs Filipino one more time

Filipino representative teams Team Liquid and Aurora Gaming qualified for this year’s M7 by being Champion and First Runner Up respectively. Happening on the first Round of the Swiss Stage, the teams are in for a rematch with them going up against each other on the global stage. When asked about their thoughts on facing their countrymen, both teams accepted it with Team Liquid even cracking a joke on how they didn’t get a choice as another individual drew their teams.

Both teams had sacrificed time away from family especially during the holidays to get to where they are and with their confidence levels steady, and info on their competition at the ready, they’re hungry to bring that championship back home.
