Cozy Time with Cast of Island of Hearts

The stars of 2026’s upcoming game Island of Hearts held a panel during Thailand Game Show and here’s some of the juicy details that you have to look forward to.

Featuring Asian social media influencers Siew Pui Yi (@ms_puiyi), Debbie Wee (@debbwie), Nahyun Kim (@nahyunworld), Baby G (@kaikai_babyg), Ayako Ogawa (@ayako_ogawa) and Leah Usami (@leah_usami), you play a bachelor that woke up on a beach greeted by mysterious beauties.

Being a live-action romance game, you’d expect your typical generic dating experience expected from the genre but but after playing the demo firsthand and hearing straight from the directors and the stars themselves, it has us excited for the games full release.

Love is kinda funny

While your usual romance games often feel flat with there being no adversity or at times even feeling plain, one aspect of Isle Of Hearts that has us excited is the focus on the comedic side of romance and its use in the game.

Love is often portrayed as dramatic and downright even problematic but the lighter tone for some scenes delivered by the cast is something to get excited about. It’s not even just the romantic aspects where comedy takes the forefront with the stars having fun with it. Siew, playing Emily even mentioned how one of her favorite scenes was one where she suddenly had to wear a banana suit for a scene.

Getting to know you

Their charisma shined throughout the panel and learning that the characters they’re portraying are similar to their real life counterparts explained why their characterization in game made sense. There were even moments in the panel where the girls would jokingly ask how the writer knew so much about them including their personal lives.

It’s all in good fun with each character reflecting an aspect about themself like Siew playing Emily being a doctor in game but had an interest in the medical field growing up or Nahyun being a streamer both in game and in real life.

One world, one love

Considering the multinational background of the girls, you’d think that there would be issues or altercations but throughout the panel you could tell how much love they had for each other. The cast had even been asked on who they’d date among each other and there were no common answers shared. If they had a hard time deciding, the players would have a hard time picking too but the choices matter with there being tons of possibilities.

Tons of content

Each decision you make could lead you to a variety of endings and with 6 girls, a good and bad route and twists and turns at any corner, there’s so much replayability in store. The writing is deeper than you’d expect too with Ayako who plays Chloe even mentioning a subplot in game about their preferences or Leah who plays Lili hinting something dark in her cheerful character.

While 2026, may be a bit far, Island of Hearts is shaping up to be an exciting game to look forward to especially if you’re a romance fan. Between the fun writing, great cast and the diversity in gameplay from the variety of mini games present, players are in for a treat.
