Blade & Soul Heroes Shutting Down in South Korea

NCSOFT has announced that its collectible action MMORPG, Blade & Soul Heroes, will end its service in South Korea on February 19, 2026. The game was originally launched in the region under the name Hoyeon in August 2024. This decision means the title is sunsetting after being active for just over a year. While the South Korean servers are closing, the global and Japanese versions of the game currently remain available for fans to play.

Shutdown Schedule and In-Game Changes

The developers have not shared a specific reason for the early shutdown but thanked the community for their support. All in-app purchases have already been disabled following the announcement. Players can still download and play the game until the official end of service date in February. However, the official Discord server is scheduled to close much earlier on December 26, 2025, and the game’s website will follow in April 2026.

Refund Process for Paid Items

NCSOFT is offering refunds for paid products to help players during this transition. You have until March 21, 2026, to apply for a refund, provided you have the receipts and order numbers for your purchases. This gives users a chance to recover their investment before the service completely disappears. Even though the journey is ending in South Korea, players can still enjoy the final months of gameplay with the game’s 40 plus heroes.
