Electronic Arts (EA) has announced the soft launch of its new mobile building simulation game, The Sims Labs: Town Stories. This cozy title, part of The Sims Labs under the larger Sims franchise, is now available for early access on both Android and iOS devices in select regions.
Shaping the Community of Plumbrook
The game is set in the scenic town of Plumbrook, where players assume the role of a new resident tasked with helping to develop the community into a vibrant, unique town. The Sims Labs: Town Stories blends rich narrative with town-building mechanics, allowing players to create their own Sims, guide their stories through quests, and design everything from their personal homes to entire community blocks. By progressing through narrative quests, new areas of the town can be unlocked for expansion.
Key Features and Regional Availability
The game blends a nostalgic, SimCity-like building experience with storytelling and character interaction. Players can interact with both iconic returning characters from the Sims franchise, such as Bella Goth, and new quirky residents. The core features include customizing a dream home, creating and guiding Sims, and uncovering secrets and scandals within the community. The soft launch is currently limited to the Philippines, Australia, and South Africa, with no official global release date announced yet.
