Fate Trigger, Anime Hero Shooter Announces PS5 & PC Early Access

Saroasis Studios has officially announced that the anime-style, hero-based tactical shooter, Fate Trigger, will enter Early Access on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam) in Q1 2026. The news, revealed during a recent State of Play presentation, marks a significant expansion for the game, which is powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Become An Awakener

Fate Trigger is a Free-to-Play title that blends the strategic intensity of a hero shooter with battle royale and team-based game modes. Players take on the role of “Awakeners,” characters with unique skills and special abilities, in spectacular, fast-paced life-or-death showdowns. New Content: Blightfront and Awakeners

The Early Access launch will introduce a wealth of new content, most notably a massive new strategic playground called Blightfront. This 2km x 2km arena is designed for intense battles, featuring diverse zones, including thirteen urban areas with high structures for close-quarters combat and varied cover options for strategic maneuvering. Alongside the new map, players can look forward to at least two brand-new Awakeners joining the roster. Search results highlight two of these new heroes: Fari, an attacker capable of creating clones, and TaTa, a defender who deploys mini-turrets, ensuring a shake-up of the current competitive meta.

Cross-Platform Play and PS5 Features

The development team has confirmed a strong focus on a seamless, unified player experience. Fate Trigger will support cross-platform multiplayer between PS5 and PC players, with full account progress, character unlocks, and friends lists carrying over between devices. The console version has been specifically adapted to leverage the PlayStation 5’s capabilities, including full support for adaptive triggers, vibration feedback, and gyro aiming, promising an immersive and highly responsive control scheme. The game also emphasizes fair competitive play, implementing an advanced AI anti-cheat system to ensure a level battlefield for all aspiring Awakeners.
