Filipino Indie Horror Game Tindahan Launches Demo Version Today

Today marks the official release of the demo version of Tindahan, a brand-new horror game. Josef Yenko, also known as Yikon, worked independently to create the game, which was created with the Unity engine and attempts to provide a spooky, narrative-driven experience that is greatly influenced by Filipino culture and daily life.

A Tale Stemming from Mystery and Loss

Players will take control of Arian, a 21-year-old woman who struggles through life without a family or home. Arian chooses to carry on managing her grandmother’s small business after hearing of her passing, but what starts out as a peaceful, solitary routine quickly turns into something much more unsettling.

Strange things start to happen as the nights go by, and Arian discovers terrifying facts about her grandmother’s death and a mysterious girl named Alya.

The mechanics and gameplay

Tindahan combines elements of psychological horror with slice-of-life management. Every night, players manage the small business by serving customers, replenishing inventory, and maintaining the generator while juggling the mounting stress of an invisible horror.

The game uses slow-building dread rather than jump scares to draw players into its eerie world, emphasizing atmosphere, storytelling, and exploration.

Support the Creator

Tindahan is a fully independent project made with passion and care by Josef “Yikon” Yenko. If you want to support him, head on over to his itch.io page and buy the game. You can also check out some of his other works there.
