Com2uS Holding’s Subsidiaries Worldwide Include Com2uS Platform, Com2uS Plus, Com2uS USA, and Com2uS Japan in Collaborative Focus on Blockchain Platform and Metaverse.
Gamevil CEO, Yong Kuk Lee has recently announced that the company and its global subsidiaries will now be rebranded under the new name Com2uS Holdings with a central focus on building the future of blockchain gaming. Com2uS Holding’s subsidiaries will become Com2uS Platform, Com2uS Plus, Com2uS USA, and Com2uS Japan and will each play a pivotal role in accelerating the creation of a proprietary blockchain ecosystem under the Com2uS brand.
Com2uS Holdings and its subsidiaries are rapidly expanding strategic partnerships, investments, and research and development in blockchain, non-fungible tokens (NFT), and metaverse technologies. Earlier this year, Com2uS made strategic acquisitions of a series of broadcasting media and production companies including Media Can, WYSIWYG STUDIO, and Mstoryhub, expanding its ability to create and distribute original intellectual property and content. The company also established Jungle Studio, a content production company, and Com2uS ROCA, a virtual reality (VR) game developer studio. In the last six months, Com2uS has invested in a series of leading blockchain-related businesses including Animoca Brands, Candy Digital, The Sandbox, Upland, and Mythical Games to further support its vision of building a proprietary global blockchain ecosystem.
In September, Gamevil became the second-largest shareholder of CoinOne, one of Korea’s top three virtual asset exchanges. In November, Com2uS Platforms formed a partnership with Terraform Labs to operate ‘Project C2X (tentative name)’ in order to issue C2X Tokens and create a blockchain ecosystem. Com2uS and Terraform Labs will update Com2uS’ existing game platform “HIVE,” which is optimized for global service based on over 100 million active global users, into a global blockchain open platform by implementing a blockchain exclusive SDK and open an NFT exchange in early 2022.
Utilizing HIVE, Com2uS Holdings will develop and publish games with NFT and play to Earn (P2E) features, such as Summoners War: Chronicles, a new MMORPG based on the massively popular Summoners War franchise, as well as a variety of new titles from third-party developers including Kritika: the White Knights and The Great Merchant. The implementation of a protocol economy will allow players to earn digital currency in the game and own and trade blockchain-based items with currency acquired in-game. In addition, Com2uS is developing an all-in-one metaverse platform called the Com2Verse that will link work, life, and play in a brand new way.
Com2Verse will leverage Com2uS’s independent blockchain economic ecosystem and create a Mirror World Metanomics platform where players can take part in the game economy.
