Goddess Order Shutting Down Due to Developer Bankruptcy

Kakao Games has officially announced that the mobile RPG Goddess Order will close its servers on January 31, 2026. This decision comes after the game’s developer, PixelTribe, filed for bankruptcy. Because the studio is no longer operational, providing necessary maintenance and technical support for the game has become impossible. While Kakao Games initially tried to keep the servers running with limited updates, the lack of developer support has forced a complete termination of the service.

Short Lifecycle and Market Challenges

The shutdown marks a relatively short life for the title, which only launched in September 2024. Despite a strong start with healthy download numbers and a high profile collaboration with Hololive, the game struggled to maintain relevance in a highly competitive gacha market. As interest declined, revenue dropped quickly, making it difficult to sustain the project even before the developer’s financial collapse. Along with the game servers, all official social media accounts and community posts will be permanently deleted at the end of January.

Final Access and Refund Information

Players can still access Goddess Order and its existing content until the final shutdown date. Kakao Games has expressed gratitude to the community for their support since launch. Detailed information regarding the termination process and potential refunds for unused in game currency has been posted on the game’s official website. This unfortunate situation serves as a reminder of the volatility within the mobile gaming industry, especially for smaller developers facing rising production costs and stiff competition.
