China’s behemoth game company, Tencent, and its subsidiary developer studio, TiMi have finally revealed their upcoming open-world RPG, “Honor Of Kings: World.” The game was initially announced back in October 2021, and is based on their massively successful mobile MOBA game, “Honor Of Kings.”
The game will most likely compete against other open-world games like “Genshin Impact” and “Tower Of Fantasy.” The trailer shows various areas players can explore including an underwater biome. The combat feature was also showcased featuring various weapons like swords, claymores, bows, and a high-tech cannon-like weapon with a backpack that lets you hover and fly.
Here’s the official description of the game: “Master a host of mighty skills as you roam this continent of vastness and possibilities. Embark on a journey that will captivate your eyes and heart. Experience new wonders, encounter a colorful cast of characters, and leave your mark on long-lost ruins. Only the relic can grant me the answer.”

If you’re unfamiliar with the “Honor Of Kings” IP, here is a short recap. “Honor Of Kings” is Tencent and TiMi Studio’s most successful game franchise. It is a MOBA game for Android and iOS and is the highest-grossing mobile game of all time grossing over 13 billion US dollars. The IP is currently expanding to other genres including the aforementioned open-world RPG, as well as an auto-chess spinoff and a PVP fighting game.

Tencent mentioned that the game will be available on multiple gaming platforms but has not mentioned which ones it will be. Although from the trailer, we can guess PC and mobile will be included. More info coming soon for “Honor Of Kings: World” so stay tuned!
