The upcoming Season 5 of Marvel Rivals officially adds two fan-favourite X-Men: Rogue and Gambit. This marks their first playable appearance in the game. Gambit will step in as a new Strategist hero who supports teammates with buffs and deals damage using his signature cards. Rogue’s role hasn’t been fully disclosed yet, but expectations are high.

Massive New 18v18 Game Mode & Social Hub

Season 5 also brings the largest game-mode yet: a 36-player 18v18 Conquest match on the all-new Grand Garden map. Players can also hang out in a new Times Square social hub, designed to host up to 100 players for emotes, interactions and social gameplay.

Anniversary Content and Cross-Platform Progression

To mark the game’s first anniversary, Marvel Rivals is offering free rewards including in-game currency and a legendary Jeff the Land Shark skin. Other celebration items include themed skins for Blade, Psylocke and Venom. Additionally, cross-platform progression arrives in Season 5, allowing item and skin unlocks to carry over across PC and mobile.

Competitive & Team-Up Changes

Season 5 comes with new team-up abilities such as Explosive Entanglement (Gambit & Magneto) and new combinations for Cloak & Dagger + Hawkeye, plus removal of a few older team-ups. Competitive mode has also been revamped: placement matches are refreshed, team-queue rules adjusted, and ranked rewards simplified.
