What We Saw in the Trailer
The Tokyo Game Show trailer unveiled a new island setting where players can engage in thrilling hunts, exploration, and crafting. The footage highlighted the game’s open-world structure, showing caves to explore, powerful beasts to battle, and resources to gather for survival. The combat system remains faithful to the action-oriented gameplay of the series, with dynamic sequences against towering monsters.

Key Features Revealed
Players in Monster Hunter Outlanders will take on the role of Adventurers, each accompanied by a buddy. While fan-favorite companions like the Palico return, two entirely new partners—Rutaco and Trillan—were introduced, each with their own unique roles in assisting players during exploration and combat.

The island of Aesoland introduces a new type of monster called the Radiant Species. These creatures have been altered by exposure to Radiantite, a mysterious mineral that makes them stronger and more dangerous. Encounters with Radiant monsters promise to be some of the most challenging hunts in the game, offering a fresh twist to the hunting formula.

Crafting and exploration also take center stage in Outlanders. The island is divided into multiple terrain zones, requiring players to adapt their strategies to different environments. Gathering resources, crafting new weapons, and progressing through each zone will be key to uncovering the game’s deeper story content.

Platforms & Release Model
Monster Hunter Outlanders is confirmed as a free-to-play title for iOS and Android, with in-app purchases available. While no global release date has been revealed yet, the November closed beta test will give selected players their first opportunity to experience this new entry in the Monster Hunter franchise.
