“My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble” Anime Battle Royale Western Release Announced

Bandai Namco has announced that the 24-player anime battle royale, “My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble” is heading to western regions and a Closed Beta phase is already open for pre-registration. The announcement was revealed during the annual Anime Expo 2022.

About “My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble”

“My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble” is based on the popular manga/anime, My Hero Academia. Players can choose from their favorite Heroes and Villains from the series and will duke it out against 24 other players to see who will be the last one standing. From what we know so far, players will enter the game in teams of 3 with 8 teams fighting and outwitting each other in various maps inspired by iconic areas from the anime like the training center and the hero license exam stage.

One key feature that makes this game unique is, of course, the various Quirks of different heroes and villains. Learning to use the quirks and applying them in proper situations will be the key to victory in “Ultra Rumble.” Additionally, the original English voice actors from the anime will reprise their roles to give the characters in the game more authenticity.

Release Date And Availability

“My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble” is still currently in development but a limited Closed Beta Test will be conducted for the PlayStation 4 in August. Interested players can visit the pre-registration page to sign up. The game will also be coming to Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One.
