New “Rurouni Kenshin” Anime Reveals 3rd Promotional Trailer

The highly-anticipated reboot anime adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin has recently revealed its third promotional video trailer during the AnimeJapan 2023 event, and it did not disappoint. The stage event also announced two more cast members for the series, with Yūma Uchida as Shinomori Aoshi and Saori Ōnishi as Takani Megumi.

Fans of the original manga series can expect a faithful retelling of the story, with Sōma Saitō voicing the lead character Kenshin Himura, and Rie Takahashi as Kaoru Kamiya. Taku Yashiro and Makoto Koichi will also join the cast as Sanosuke Sagara and Yahiko Myojin, respectively.

Directed by Hideyo Yamamoto and produced by LIDEN FILMS, the new anime adaptation promises to be a great addition to the franchise. Character design is being handled by Terumi Nishii, while Hideyuki Kurata is in charge of the series composition and Yū Takami is composing the music.

The Rurouni Kenshin manga has been adapted into various forms, including a TV anime series, anime films, original video anime projects, live-action films, and a stage musical. The new anime adaptation is expected to be another hit among fans, as it follows the main manga series and provides a fresh take on the story.
