At GameStar’s Find Your Next Game showcase during gamescom, tinyBuild and Fire & Frost Studios unveiled a brand-new gameplay overview trailer for their upcoming open-world medieval fantasy RPG, Of Ash & Steel. The trailer highlights the game’s story, combat, crafting, and exploration as players prepare to dive into the island of Grayshaft later this year.

The Story of Grayshaft
Players will step into the role of Tristian, a cartographer who becomes an adventurer against the odds. From humble beginnings, you’ll forge your path by battling enemies, uncovering mystical powers, crafting powerful gear, and building alliances with factions that shape the fate of Grayshaft.
Every decision matters. Will you uphold the ideals of the Order of the Seven, fight alongside the Free Hunters, or chase coin with rival guilds? Each path leads to unique challenges, characters, and consequences.
Combat, Crafting, and Progression
Of Ash & Steel is designed to reward mastery. You’ll begin as a novice but can grow into a legendary hero by honing weapon skills, unlocking powerful abilities, and unearthing ancient magic to unleash devastating attacks. Crafting also plays a key role, letting players create gear and tools needed to survive in the unforgiving wilds of Grayshaft.
