PokéPark Kanto Theme Park Revealed: Pokémon’s First Outdoor Attraction Opens in Tokyo in 2026

During the Pokémon Presents livestream on July 22, 2025, The Pokémon Company officially pulled back the curtain on a project fans have long speculated about: PokéPark Kanto, a brand-new Pokémon-themed outdoor park located in Yomiuriland, Tokyo. This isn’t a traveling exhibit or a temporary event—this is the first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction, and it’s opening in early 2026.

After months of rumors fueled by construction sightings, fans finally have confirmation. And from the first visuals shown, it’s clear this is going to be a dream destination for Trainers of all ages.

Over 26,000 Square Meters of Pokémon Magic

PokéPark Kanto will span over 26,000 square meters in the lush Tama Hills area, offering two immersive zones: The Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Each is designed to bring the world of Pokémon to life—not just as characters, but as living, breathing parts of an ecosystem and culture.

The Pokémon Forest

A winding wilderness nearly 500 meters long, the Pokémon Forest is filled with hilly trails, tall grass, tunnels, and hidden paths. Here, over 600 Pokémon will roam, battle, or share Berries with one another. Expect to see towering giants overhead and shy Pokémon peeking from the underbrush. Every twist in the trail offers a new encounter or surprise.

Sedge Town

In contrast, Sedge Town is a bustling hub inspired by the heart of every Pokémon game. It features a full Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, Trainer’s Market, and even Sedge Gym. There’s also a Pokémon Parade, themed attractions, and the Primarina Fountain, where guests can connect with Pokémon and fellow fans alike. It’s not just a theme park—it’s a Pokémon world brought to life.

When and How to Visit

According to The Pokémon Company, advance ticket sales will begin in late 2025. Details on pricing and availability will follow soon, so fans are advised to stay tuned. Given the park’s scale and the brand’s global appeal, expect demand to be sky-high.
