Capcom has just dropped some big news: Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed 2 million wishlists across all platforms—even though the game itself isn’t due until February 2026. This milestone clearly shows the enduring hype for the Resident Evil franchise.
The game is scheduled to launch February 27, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam). During a hands-on session at Gamescom 2025, some details about the experience were revealed—fans can read further about that separately.

In Requiem, you’ll follow the story of FBI agent Grace Ashcroft, returning to a terror-stricken Raccoon City. What’s new this time: players can choose between first-person and third-person perspectives. First-person offers an intense, personal horror feel, while third-person leans into classic cinematic horror.
Capcom is already pushing the mood with a haunting teaser tagline:
“Requiem for the dead. Nightmare for the living.”

This will be the ninth mainline entry in the series, and expectations are high. Capcom promises deeper narrative, more immersive gameplay, and psychological horror elements—not just zombies and monsters. With millions already waiting, Requiem could easily become one of the most talked-about entries in Resident Evil history.
