“Roco Kingdom” Tencent’s Pokemon-like Game Begins Testing Phase In China

It’s been quite a while since we last heard of this game but looks like Tencent’s Roco Kingdom Game is finally moving forward with its development. The game will open an offline testing event in Guangzhou, commencing on January 22, 2024, and will last 7 days.

As a refresher, Roco Kingdom is a mobile RPG that will play very similarly to Pokemon. Players will unravel mysteries, forge bonds with creatures, earn recognition, and navigate critical decisions amid adversity. The game seamlessly integrates 2D gameplay with the expansive realms of 3D open-world exploration.

Although the Testing Phase is only open for China, it’s good to know that the game is progressing. Roco Kingdom is expected to launch in China first in 2024 before getting a global release around 2025 for mobile and PC.
