As part of the recently concluded “Silent Hill” Transmission” live stream, Konami announces an interactive streaming series based on “Silent Hill” called “Silent Hil Ascension. Multiple companies will be involved in making this project including the developers of “Dead By Daylight” and Genvid which specializes in making video game streaming show hybrids.
To get an idea of what might “Silent Hill: Ascension” be, you can watch the official teaser down below. From what is shown, the teaser shows a chat feed where people are talking with each other. You can see messages that say “Can we save her?” “Is it after Amina?” and “RUN!” Then a monstrous creature is shown, presumably the one hunting the characters in “Ascension.” The video ends with the message “Face your trauma together” alluding to how the events of the series will be decided by the community.
If this is sounding a bit too familiar to some, it’s because “Silent Hill Ascension” might be like “The Walking Dead: Last Mile,” a weekly streaming show where the action of the characters in the series is influenced and decided by the viewers. As mentioned above, “Dead By Daylight” developers, Behaviour Interactive will be involved in the game. The project also included Bad Robot Games, DJ2 Entertainment (known for adapting video games for TV and films), and Genvid which was also mentioned above.
“It’s a live real-time interactive series where millions of fans will watch together as the chilling story unfolds. You can change its outcomes and even be a part of scenes.” Players’ decisions are final, however, and there is no reset button.”
