The Game Awards 2025 to Stream for First Time on Prime Video

The Game Awards will be streamed live on Prime Video for the first time ever, in addition to its usual broadcast on Twitch. The 2025 ceremony will air from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on December 11 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.

The show’s creator, Geoff Keighley, confirmed that the addition of Prime Video as a distribution partner doesn’t alter the format of the event, viewers will still enjoy the same awards, premieres, and performances. The broadcast will also continue on Twitch in 2K (1440p) resolution with an expanded creator co-streaming option and Twitch Drops for viewers who watch 30 minutes or more.

Prime Video Brings New Reach To Game Awards

The move provides broader global reach, enabling viewers in more than 200 countries and territories to access the show via Prime Video.
Its presence on one of the world’s largest streaming services signals how major gaming events are being treated with the same regard as big television shows.
From a viewer perspective, new interactive features, including potential retailer tie-ins, will enhance the experience.
