Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia today announced the launch of Tales of Xillia Remastered on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, with next day release for PC via Steam®. 

An enhanced version of the timeless action RPG, Tales of Xillia Remastered brings back a memorable entry in the Tales of series, letting players experience this classic, with stunning visuals and new features – such as major gameplay upgrades and DLC packs released for the original game.

Tales of Xillia Remastered is a remastered version of Tales of Xillia, first released in 2011. Players will dive into the magnificent world of Rieze Maxia where humans and spirits coexist in harmony. Players can choose to live this story through the point of view of Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman accompanied by four powerful spirits, or Jude Mathis, an aspiring medical student from the capital. Their paths soon converge as they uncover a dangerous secret. The kingdom of Rashugal is using a weapon that drains mana, threatening the balance of the entire world. Determined to stop the destruction and restore balance, Milla and Jude embark on a daring quest to destroy the device and save their world. 

The remastered title features notable quality-of-life enhancements such as auto-save, destination icons for seamless exploration, and early access to the Grade Shop. Tales of Xillia Remastered also features the option to turn off general enemy encounters at any point in the game for those who want to focus their experience on story progression. A major gameplay upgrade includes the Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System, a real-time combat system that allows players to team up with allies to unleash devastating combo attacks and unlock special support skills to overwhelm foes. Tales of Xillia Remastered also includes downloadable content from the original release, featuring character costumes, bonus items, and other fan-favourite extras.

Tales of Xillia returns with improved graphics and gameplay in Tales of Xillia Remastered. Follow Jude, a medical student, and Milla, a mysterious woman who calls herself Maxwell, the Lord of Spirits. After becoming involved in an incident, the two begin to work together, adding allies with various aspirations to their group as they draw closer to the truth of the hidden world. 

An epic adventure unfolds in the world of “Rieze Maxia”, where humans and spirits coexist. 

Remastered Improvements

The Tales of Xillia Remastered sees the following improvements made to the 2011 version.  

Initial Release of Grade Shop 
Available from the start of the first playthrough. Some purchased items can be turned on or off in “Grade Shop Settings.” 

Destination Icons Display 

Destinations in the main story are indicated by a “★” icon, as well as the remaining distance to the destination. Displays can be switched on/off from the Configuration menu. 

Enemy Encounter 

Enemy Encounter can be toggled on/off in “Encounter Settings”. If it is switched to “off”, you will not engage in battle even if you come into contact with enemy symbols in the field or dungeon. 

More than 40 types of DLC  

Over 40 types of DLCs (*excluding some) sold in the original version, such as costumes for characters are included.
