“Wild Hearts” EA Announces Its Own Monster Hunter-Style Game

Electronic Arts And Koei Tecmo are teaming up to create their own “Monster Hunter-style game called “Wild Hearts.” The reveal was made through a debut trailer showing off the different environments you can explore, giant monsters to slay, and a cool and weird toolbox system where you can create various mechanical gizmos to help you take down your target.

The game has similarities to Koei Tecmo’s “Toukiden” series, another monster-hunting game originally released for the PlayStation Vita and previous PlayStation consoles. Instead of an open world, “Wild Hearts” will have a zone-based system much like “Dauntless.” Crafting will play a vital role in the game. Referred to as the “Karakuri,” players will need to make use of an ancient technology that allows for the creation of extremely flexible and creative hunting grounds. The aesthetics are amazingly good. If you’re a fan of Japanese culture and samurai, you’d be right at home in “Wild Hearts.”

Master ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts. The game is a unique twist on the hunting genre where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts infused with the ferocious power of nature itself. Explore the land of Azuma far beyond the east and take on these creatures alone or hunt with friends in a seamless co-op. Developed by Omega Force, the Japanese studio behind the “Dynasty Warriors” franchise and in partnership with EA Originals, “Wild Hearts” takes you on an epic adventure set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan.

“Wild Hearts” is scheduled to launch on February 17, 2023, and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. You can follow their Twitter to get updates about the game.
